Roman Enamelled Chatelaine Brooch dating to the 2nd-3rd Century AD
Including pin, much yellow and faded blue enamel still in place.
This brooch would have originally had cosmetic items (nail cleaner, ear scoop and tweezers) hanging from a bar at the bottom and was a status symbol of the Roman period, displaying that the owner was able to take care of themselves, perhaps like a branded sports bag from a local Spa in modern day culture.
