Obverse depicts the radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Maximianus right. The reverse shows Pax standing left holding branch and sceptre. The legend ‘PAX AVGGG’ signifies Carausius associating himself with the legitimate emperors Maximianus and Diocletian. ‘C’ in exergue may refer to the Camulodunum (Colchester) mint.
