Do we have a shop?
No we do not have a shop open to the public. We operate a ‘meeting by appointment only’ service, if you would like to arrange a meeting please get in touch via email or phone.
How will my item be packaged for delivery?
Everything we offer for sale will be dispatched in a padded envelope, for higher value items we also use a waterproof plastic envelope to add an extra level of protection. Inside this envelope you will find a robust, specially designed cardboard box which will not only ensure that your item is kept safe while in transit but offers a good long term storage option. Inside the box you will find your coin in a plastic holder (not designed for long term storage) and its individual label giving details of the coin, on the reverse of this ticket you will find provenance if known. Printed invoices are provided for all domestic orders, electronic copies are available on our website via user accounts. Certificates of Authenticity can be issued upon request (tick box during checkout or via email).
Do you provide Certificates of Authenticity?
Yes we can provide a Certificate of Authenticity with any of the items we offer for sale. Please tick the box during checkout to request this and don’t worry, if you forget just get in touch and we can send one afterwards!
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Everything we send out will be contained in a small specially designed cardboard box, while great for storage these aren’t designed for displaying a coin. if you would like to buy some kind of display stand then we’d recommend Linder Coin-holders

Can I arrange for someone to visit me to value my collection / metal detecting finds?
Yes, our experts regularly travel around the country and are happy to come to your home or meet you somewhere locally. Get in touch by email (info@silburycoins.com) or by phone (01242 898107) and we can arrange to visit next time we are in your area.

Yes, we guarantee that everything we sell is authentic and as described.
We have a combined knowledge of over a 100 years experience handling coins and artefacts here at Silbury Coins, combined with a worldwide network of contacts we ensure that everything we offer is genuine, with a lifetime guarantee if something is proven to not be.
What information do I get with your published hoard coins?
All of our hoards are researched and the information published on our website, in magazine articles and in a booklet, a copy of which will be sent with each coin sold. This gives fascinating detail about the find, background history to the area where it was found and detail about the coins themselves. Examples of these booklets can be seen to the right.
