Diadumenian was Roman Emperor briefly in 218AD. The son of Macrinus, the future emperor, he was elevated to the rank of Caesar in May 217, and following Elagabalus revolt a few days later, Diadumenian was elevated to co-emperor. After Macrinus was defeated in the Battle of Antioch, on 8 June 218, Diadumenian was sent to the court of Artabanus V, the last king of the Parthian empire, to ensure his safety. However he was captured and executed on route later that month.
